Adrian is an independent management consultant with a passion for helping individuals and organisations realise their potential. He currently works with a wide variety of organisations including the Health Service, partners in professional practice, middle managers and owner directors of S. M. E’s. in such areas as; team development and conflict resolution, recruitment and selection, including profiling roles and candidates and executive coaching.

Adrian has extensively studied the field of personal development over the last ten years, training with a variety of international leaders. He completed his Master Practitioner certification in NLP in 1997 following a year’s study with Richard Bandler. He then undertook a further year’s course in the use of NLP for Training and Consulting with Robert Dilts and Ian Mc Dermott. He presented a paper on “NLP – A Tool for Organisational Change” at the World Total Quality Congress in Bombay in 1998 and ran a series of one day seminars on the same subject for the Indian Institute of Directors. He completed his Trainer training in NLP at the start of 2002.

Adrian has also been trained in coaching skills by a number of international coaches and helps to train coaches for 2 Higher Ground, a charity set up to provide coaching support for the carers of cancer patients. He is a certified in the use of a range of psychometrics and trains other consultants in their use.

Adrian set up his own consultancy in 1990 to capitalise on his expertise in the food industry and focussed initially on helping S.M.E’s develop their quality systems. This broadened in time to include developing TQM cultures as well as more general strategic and commercial support to owner directors and the nurturing of start up businesses. Adrian also works as the Northern Associate of a specialist recruitment agency placing middle and senior managers into food companies.

After graduating, he held a number of production manager and technical manager roles with major blue chip food producers. After 12 years experience split among four different companies he moved on to more general operational roles within privately owned companies where his challenge was to introduce the systems and disciplines of the large food manufacturers whilst still retaining the best of a small company culture. His last full time executive role was as Group Production Director for Dawnfresh Seafoods where he was responsible for integrating the activities of three previously separate companies. Until recently Adrian continued to hold part time executive roles within two food manufacturing companies.

After a first degree in Chemistry he gained his M Sc in Food Science in 1970 and Diploma in Management Studies in 1983.
